LAUNCH OF UNIVERSITY TALES

It’s always special when a new novel is launched. UNIVERSITY TALES is the first novel in my new ‘University’ series and will be launched at 6.00 p.m. in Waterstones Milton Keynes on Thursday 7th September 2023. It’s a hardback published by Penguin Random House.

It will be the first in a series of signings including Waterstones York (1.00 p.m. Saturday 9th September); Waterstones Basingstoke (7.30 p.m. Wednesday 13th September) and Waterstones Alton (11.00 a.m.-1.00 p.m. Saturday 16th September). Other events and talks will be included on the Events page of this website.

As always I shall look forward to meeting up with some of my readers. The new novel is based on my experience of working as a university lecturer during the late eighties and early nineties. There’s a different main character, Tom Frith, a 32 year old lecturer, and we follow his life and loves throughout the academic year 1988/89.

The new project is certainly a change from the Teacher series and I do hope my readers enjoy this new venture.

In the meantime, thanks to readers (and listeners) from all over the world who have purchased a copy of LAST DAY OF SCHOOL along with the audio version, the fifteenth and final novel in the Teacher series. An audio edition of ‘University Tales’ will also be available soon.

Finally, thanks to everyone who has been in touch to say how much they have appreciated the Teacher series and the amount of enjoyment they have experienced while reading my gentle tales.
